Put the weight of your pains on my shoulders. It’s what I do best!
I received my Master of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University in San Jose in 2012. I am a licensed acupuncturist in the State of California, teach at Five Branches University, and am in practice at FBU clinic.
My interest in Oriental medicine began in my 30s. I received a LLB (bachelor of laws) from Korea University, South Korea and an MS in Finance from University of Illinois. I worked for a financial firm for many years. I was very successful in my career but because it was high-pressure and competitive, I felt like I was burning out and was very stressed. I was introduced to meditation by the acupuncturist that helped me restore myself and after 10 years of practice, I became an instructor. I also started learning Korean hand acupuncture, which helped me understand how life energy is applied to healing in the body. I have continued meditation training at Martial Arts center since 2009, using them during martial arts practice and for healing.
My aspiration for Oriental medicine lies in healing patients holistically. It seeks the harmony in the body, and further balance between mind and body. I do not simply attempt to treat symptoms, nor do I treat diseases. I treat people. My focus is holistic; I seek to understand the entire person and the health patterns they have, and then try to apply the proper methods such as acupuncture, herbal formula and meditation, individually and combined.
I am passionate about helping others take charge of their health and improve their lives. My specialties are pain relief, work related injuries, sports injuries, fibromyalgia and stress management.
My clinic is located in Palo Alto in the heart of Silicon Valley. Long distance work, web-based appointments and weekend/evening hours are available for busy professionals in Silicon Valley.
